This is a full-time position with a Monday – Friday schedule, 8am-5:30pm. The pay is $15-17 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications. This position is onsite at our center located: 1264 S Rio Grande Ave, Orlando FL 32805. 
 
The Infant/Toddler Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom while implementing a curriculum that is appropriate for infants and 1-year-olds. The teacher in this role should be high energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents. You’ll have the opportunity to be a serve as a model and mentor, leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of our children.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with both center’s vision and state and local / state requirements 
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement 
  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children 
  • Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring and self-regulation 
  • Develop a well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, diapering, eating, and napping 

What We Need from You: 

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study
  • 45 DCF hours required; CDA preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 -3 years of professional early childhood education or experience specifically with infants 
  • Must clear a full level II DCF background check 
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills 
  • Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
  • Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns 
  • Demonstrate empathy and patience in difficult situations while being Cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace
