Job Summary:
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a friendly and professional demeanor.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient information and update records in our systems
- Collect payments and provide receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or front desk role preferred
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems (e.g., Dentrix) is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Proficient in using phone systems, computers, and other office equipment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Working days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
