Job Description
**Hybrid - 1 day a week onsite in Alpharetta, GA.**Our financial services client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.
We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Pay Rate: $58.00 - $62.00/hr on W2
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.
W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:
- Provide support for Linux/Centos/RHEL Servers and Infrastructure, both on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on-site
- Plan upgrades of hardware and applications/systems enhancements/OS patches/HW patches, firmware
- Develop and conduct tests to ensure solutions meet documented user requirements
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems
- Perform hardware maintenance and repair activities using DRAC/ILOM
- Respond, investigate, and resolve technical incidents
- Work with Facilities to troubleshoot server related network and SAN issues
- Initiate server problems with Vendors and coordinate with Facilities for onsite repair
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 7 years of Linux/Red Hat/CentOS experience
- At least 7 years of hardware server experience
- Experience working in both virtual and physical deployments of servers.
- Strong Linux skill set across provisioning, supporting, securing, and troubleshooting Linux
- Strong Server hardware trouble shooting skills (Dell Servers preferred)
- Practical understanding of networking such as network bonding, routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, & VLANs
- Understanding of disk/storage configuration work for Linux servers
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
