Sr. Wireless Network Solution Architect / Engineer Overview: ELEVI is a fast-paced customer focused company who prides ourselves on service excellence. We're expanding our network technologies Professional Services team to support current and projected wireless technologies demand and expansion into Private LTE. To support this growth, ELEVI is seeking a Sr. Wireless Network Solution Architect / Engineer (NSAE) who is highly experienced in wireless network topology. responsible for managing the connectivity design, implementation, and monitoring the quality control for private LTE networks. The Sr. Wireless NSAE will support wireless communications technology projects with customers in multiple market segments. In this role, you will provide wireless and wired OSP and ISP design and engineering and integration with legacy TDM and advanced IP/MPLS services. The ideal Sr. Wireless NSAE candidate should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams on network system infrastructure design and development to create and validate architecture, develop proofs of concept, reference designs, and subsequently lead the implementation of the network system as designed. Attention to details and soft-skills will be critical for the Sr. Wireless NSAE to be successful in this fast paced role. This is a remote role, with national travel when needed, so it provides the flexibility to be based and live anywhere in the United States. What you will be doing... This position will be part of ELEVI's Commercial Market Professional Services Team working in both a Pre-Sales and Post Sales capacity supporting activities that drive sales growth through value-added product and service solutions to mission and business needs. This includes ELEVI's core wireless and, wireline product offerings into multiple market segments. In this way, you will extend our core offering to ELEVI's current customer base as well as work with the Sales team to identify and gain new customers. Pre Sales Sr. Wireless NSAE In a Pre Sales capacity, the Sr. Wireless NSAE is the architect and owner of the solution design. You will be responsible for working closely with ELEVI's Sales Team, OEMs and Customers to deliver customer-driven, world class, leading edge, end-to-end solutions that satisfy a broad spectrum of customer types and requirements. This includes development, design, evaluation, and modification of system solutions and architecture to meet customer requirements, as well as, but is not limited to: * Understanding customer requirements * Equipment list generation * Description of system design, including diagrams * Radio Coverage design and analysis * Calculation of power and networking requirements * Consultative guidance to customers and sales team * Meet/exceeding customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be met * Participation in proposal reviews and contract negotiations * From a technical perspective, drive all sole source & competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) response projects to completion, managing to meet the schedules and established objectives * Development of the implementation approach and service plan necessary to win the project * Presentations to customers * Coordinate with OEM, Customers and ELEVI teams for Sales, Systems Integration, Pre/Post Sales Services, and Product development/management groups to ensure all business unit goals are addressed in our proposals and win strategies * Assist in the network and electrical design characteristics of new, or modifications to, wireless and wired structures and related infrastructure (monopole towers, lattice towers, guyed towers, water tanks above ground structures and underground structures, roof-top or wall-mounted related structures) * Manage and prepare physical layout plan for proper communication system site infrastructure, and support systems Post Sales Sr. Wireless NSAE * Perform site visits/field investigations of existing structures as necessary to gather information or provide consultation to clients for installation planning * Work within teams to install, troubleshoot, and configure LTE/5G core network and switching environment * Create regression test plans for LTE/5G networks * Execute test cases and report results * Debug equipment issues and collect logs * Monitor equipment remotely and generate reports * Write scripts to automate testing and collecting data * Help mount equipment in the lab and field * Communicate and report updates to project stake holders * Prioritize workflow and maintain client schedules * Reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance. * Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products. * Assists upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor. * Performs, reviews, and approves detailed equipment and design specifications. Qualifications * 10 years' experience in wireless technologies with focus on network systems architecture, design, prototypes * Education: S.E.E. or equivalent experience is highly desired * Experience in various technologies of Core / Transport / Access Network, system integration, performance, and network management. * Demonstrated technical knowledge in various wireless communication systems, protocols, algorithms, and fixed-point development, CBRS, CDMA, 4G, 5G, WiFi, Private LTE, DAS (indoor/outdoor), Fiber, and other wireless technology deployments; macro and micro cell deployments and componentry, point to point, and point-to-multipoint * Deep expertise in LTE and 5G networks with experience configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, LTE/5G protocol stack * Experience with Private-cellular networks (pLTE) and its various use cases * Experience with Private LTE network planning and design * Hands on implementation experience installing (antennas/base station) with pLTE solutions * 5G NR core network knowledge such as AMF, SMF and UPF. * Hands on experience integrating, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting LTE & 5G Core Network (Preferably has experience with Nokia wireless products) * CBRS ecosystem knowledge * WIFI and LoRa technology experience * Good understanding of IP networking principles and protocols i.e., ability to configure/understand VLAN's, Layer 2/3 routing, bridging, and planning a network design * Networking & Telecom Knowledge - IP Routing & Switching, Designing and Modelling Networks ( MPLS / G MPLS / Layer 2 VPN / Layer 3 VPN, Secure Networks etc.,) * Vendor certifications such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE), Juniper, etc. are preferred * Exposure to various IoT technologies across different industry verticals * Experience with device test tools like Accuver XCAL/XCAP, Qualcomm QXDM/QCAT, Keysight Nemo etc. * Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and nontechnical audiences * Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo * Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset * Ability to make sound engineering judgments and justify them coherently and professionally to clients and co-workers * Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow * Project management experience and PMP certification are a plus * A positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative, resourceful and deliver results * Ability to travel (under 25%) domestic only We're an equal opportunity employer (EOE) that empowers our people.
