Position Summary:

The Regional HR Business Partner, under the direction of the VP of Human Resources, will be responsible for the Company's Human Resources Management for a specific region of EECO locations in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Areas of responsibility include but aren't limited to recruiting, employee relations, training initiatives, performance management, policy and procedure implementation, affirmative action, benefits management, and employment law compliance.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related area of study plus at least 3 years of HR work experience; or 10 years of HR related work experience.
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred.
  • HR experience in wholesale distribution or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of general labor law and employment compliance regulations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong Communications skills, both oral and written.
  • The ability to maintain self-control. Needs to stay composed in difficult situations.
  • Position requires integrity, must be honest and ethical.
  • Must be a team player, pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
  • Reliable, responsible, dependable, and able to follow through and fulfill obligations.
  • The ability to travel within the region assigned.
  • Located in Lynchburg, VA, Roanoke, VA or Raleigh, NC.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment initiatives and strategies; campus recruitment activities.
  • Benefits education and training.
  • Conducts initial interviews for entry and administrative positions within the organization.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and completes reporting of training and development assignments.
  • Updates HRIS as needed, and coordinates change activities with the payroll department.
  • Monitors performance evaluation program.
  • Recognize problems and solve HR related issues.
  • Exemplify the EECO culture. Plan and promote activities that create a positive work environment.
