Purpose

Electric Supply & Equipment, a leading distributor of electrical products and provider of automation solutions, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. As the Accounting Manager, you will assist in managing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, maintaining accurate financial records, producing timely financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all accounting and tax regulations.

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of managing financial operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and ISO
• Perform month-end and year-end close
• Participate in annual audits
• Complete bank reconciliations
• Organize, distribute and verify the work on the accounting team and participate in their training
• Lead the planning and development of work flows related to the processing of accounting functions
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor and report on variances
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting team members, and promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
• Collaborate on ISO standards and process improvements for company quality controls
