The Network Engineer III is a network engineer with advanced skills and experience in managing, maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and monitoring network and communications components. This includes, but is not limited to, core and distribution switches, end point switches, voice and data configuration, firewall management, Unified Communications, and related networking skills. The Network Engineer is the main point of contact for network related problems. Responsible for advanced hardware and software troubleshooting that includes operating systems, servers, and applications related to network infrastructure. Familiar with cybersecurity tools and practices to ensure the El Rio Health network remains secure from unauthorized users. Essential Job Functions:Designs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains the local and wide area networks (LAN and WAN) including routers, switches, gateways, and applications serversAdministers and supports network hardware and software by installing, configuring, monitoring, and updating network hardware and software including server, router firewall, backup and monitoring utilities, network device configurations, and end user applicationsEvaluates LAN/WAN hardware and software requirements and capabilities related to end user needs and coordinates installation of required hardware and softwareImplements Voice over IP solutions using the Cisco Unified Communications platform.Designs wireless topologies by performing both predictive and real-time wireless site surveys Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Eight (8) years’ working as a network technician, network engineer or similar role. Four (4) years’ experience working with advanced networking technologies (e.g. Unified Communications, IoT, IDS/IPS, firewalls, network flow monitoring, cloud connectivity, telecom circuits, etc.). If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations: Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
