The Facilities and Maintenance Technician is responsible for creating and maintaining a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean and aesthetically pleasing for patients and staff members. By utilizing regulatory guidelines and best practices, this position provides support for building and equipment maintenance, groundskeeping, and janitorial needs.

Essential Functions

• Ensure facilities are maintained by conducting and documenting regular facilities inspections, including grounds and parking lots.
• Promote daily operation effectiveness by monitoring cleanliness of all facilities to include janitorial maintenance and trash removal and performing tasks such as repairing fixtures, conducting minor mechanical/electrical/plumbing repairs, and coordinating vendors for repairs and maintenance as appropriate.
• Assist with Safety/Risk/Emergency Management plan to include audits, safety checks and drills, equipment maintenance, and other exercises as appropriate.
• Plan and implement scheduled maintenance program for equipment including but not limited to HVAC systems.
• Coordinate installation and/or repair of equipment; removal, storage and/or disposal of surplus or broken equipment.
• Monitor status of and facilitate coordination as needed for construction projects.
• Provide meeting support through set-up and break-down of chairs, tables and equipment as requested.
• Respond during non-clinic hours to emergency situations related to facilities or maintenance issues.
• Troubleshoots problems with facilities and equipment, including HVAC and electrical systems, and when a non-routine issue is found, may need to coordinate a contractor to perform repairs.

• 2-5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance.
• Possess knowledge of facilities management best practices.
