Position: Business Objects Developer (Contract)

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY 10001

Rate: $50-$55 per hour

Deadline: 4/16 by 2:00 PM

Requirements:

3. Provide real examples of Business Objects usage

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain reporting structures, data structures, Business Objects Universes, SQL queries, and reports
2. Collaborate with vendor and internal teams for compliant reporting
3. Offer guidance on query and reporting tools usage
4. Aid in establishing and managing query/reporting environments
5. Design, develop, test, and implement reporting structures and queries
6. Maintain detailed documentation for reporting design

Skills & Abilities:

1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
2. Proficiency in reporting development in large data warehouse environments
3. Extensive knowledge of Business Objects Architecture
4. Excellent business analysis skills
5. Proficiency in Oracle SQL, SQL Server, PL/SQL (DB2 a plus)
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
7. BO Java SDK Development experience is a plus
8. Understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing Architecture & Design

Experience:

1. Minimum 7 years of Business Object XI experience (R3.1- R4.1 required, R4.2 preferred)
2. Proficiency in relational databases - Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
3. Understanding of SDLC and major project iterations
4. Quick learner with ability to become SME in business data definitions
5. Experience working with senior business managers
6. Self-starter with ability to multitask and adapt to project demands

Education:

1. BA in MIS, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
