Responsibilities:
STOP – before you apply – very important to read this.
The position you are applying for is much more than the title suggests. If you are truly interested in learning everything about the hospitality business, then this MIGHT be the right place for you. You will NOT be just a Front Desk person, you'll be much more than that. Yes, you’re going to be trained on the Front Desk and that will be your primary role, but you’ll also be fully trained as a Barista, so you’ll know how to make that perfect Latte, that creamy Cappucino, and serve that awesome quiche. On top of that, you’ll also have the opportunity to learn other positions in the hotel.
You’ll be trained and work with hotel guests, checking guests in and out, answering calls. You’ll learn how to make reservations and also how our laundry room operates. You’ll learn how to take supplies inventory. We’ll teach you how to clean rooms and prepare them for the next VIP. You’ll learn how to greet and check in bands or other groups that are staying with us. (Oh – did we mention we have an awesome bar and live stage that you can eventually get trained on?)
Want to learn how to serve tables in the hottest restaurant in town (just named as “most anticipated restaurant opening in 2023” by BON APPETIT magazine), then yes, that opportunity exists as well. You’ll also learn how to take orders for Chilte To Go and get them out the walk-up window to guests enjoying Egyptian LIVE.
So yes, you’ll have the opportunity to learn it all, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Serving, and Front Desk. We want someone who wants to be in the hospitality business and if you have no experience, that's awesome!! We're looking for someone who wants to learn it all, not someone who knows it all. So, if this sounds like you and you’re willing to work hard to learn new things, then drop us a line, tell us why you want to work at the Egyptian, and then let’s meet to talk. We’re only looking for one person.
