Membership and Advertising Consultant

The Membership and Advertising Consultant position embodies the core value of enhancing people’s lives while creating a sense of community. The Membership and Advertising Consultant contributes to Hockessin Athletic Club’s success by promoting the club and company, introducing prospects to the joys of fitness and maintaining a positive member experience for increased member retention. As an ambassador of the Hockessin Athletic Club, the Membership and Advertising Consultant is required to operate using the five core values: Compassionate, Inspiring, Energetic, Innovative, and Community. Model and promote the mission, values and guiding principles of the Hockessin Athletic Club through appropriate appearance, words and actions.

Job Duties

• Engage in opportunities that positively impact the member experience.
• Adhere to all operational excellence standards related to providing a great member experience.
• Consistently look for opportunities to gain new members and elevate service levels.
• Prospect for qualified leads and create traffic through mailers, referrals, outreach, etc.
• Develop relations within community and local small businesses by involving club in community events.
• Prospect and network with local businesses. Promote the HAC Advertising Program. 
• Build a network of contacts through prospecting and referrals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with current members.
• Take ownership of member complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Determine prospect’s goals and motivation, be knowledgeable of all products, programs and services and ensure prospects understand the value of HAC’s role in helping them reach their fitness goals.
• Reach and surpass monthly sales projections.
• Perform all basic transactions including billing change, freeze, membership changes, terminations.
• Attend sales and training meetings as necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year experience in a sales role
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working in the fitness industry is preferred.

 The Membership and Advertising Consultant reports directly to the Membership Director.
