The Hockessin Athletic Club is looking for a driven and capable candidate to fill the Facility Maintenance position. This position will focus on performing upkeep tasks such as the repair and cleaning of the facility systems. The Facility Maintenance position is responsible for identifying and applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. The successful candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable, reliable, and process a keen eye for detail. Fulltime and parttime available.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps in walls, etc.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and cleaning equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
• Check functionality of safety and security systems.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals.
• Report to the Facilities Director for issues.
• And complete other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with maintenance and repairs.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

◊ 60 % standing ◊ 5% sitting ◊ 30 %walking ◊ 5% Lifting (40-50 lbs)
