RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26.43 - $31.72 per hour

POSITION SALARY RANGE: $26.43 - $42.29 per hour
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Recruitment Specialist plays a critical role in an organization by identifying and attracting top talent to fill various job positions. They are responsible for the beginning-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and facilitating the hiring process. The Recruitment Specialist collaborates with hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs and align recruitment strategies with Eagle County School District's objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:

  • Candidate Sourcing: utilize various channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals to identify potential candidates. Build and maintain a talent pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings.
  • Screening and Selection: review resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet job requirements. Conduct initial phone screens and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and cultural fit. Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and teams.
  • Interview and Evaluation: collaborate with hiring managers to develop interview questions and evaluation criteria. Conduct in-depth interviews, assess candidate skills, experience, and interpersonal qualities. Provide feedback to hiring managers and help in the decision-making process.
  • Offer and Onboarding: coordinate pre-employment checks, background screenings, and reference checks. Assist new hires during the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Applicant Tracking and Reporting: maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system. Generate recruitment reports and analytics to measure the effectiveness of recruiting strategies. Compile and submit required State and Federal reports in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinate the reasonable assurance process.
  • Employer Branding: contribute and cultivate the development and promotion of Eagle County School District as a brand. Participate in career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment marketing activities. Facilitate social media and digital campaigns.
  • Compliance: stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure recruiting practices are compliant. Implement inclusive hiring practices and promote diversity within the workforce. Organize, coordinate, and publish job descriptions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Staff, applicants, university representatives, contracted personnel, advertisers, Colorado Department of Education staff, law enforcement agencies, Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, technical support representatives, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Mountain BOCES, US Customs and Immigration services, Insurance companies, medical offices, Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA), vendors and the public.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 years of Eagle County School District experience preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • 2 years of marketing and communication experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills: software management applications, technical troubleshooting skills and system analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Platform and basic design software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, utilizing positive conflict management strategies.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Successful experience working with confidential information.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced and high volume work environment.
  • If bilingual, communicate and assist our Spanish speaking population through the recruitment process.
