Job Description Summary:
The Business Analyst role encompasses multiple experience levels, ranging from BA1 to BA5. Business Analysts are essential for translating business needs into functional requirements, helping organizations achieve their objectives. Depending on the experience level, Business Analysts may be responsible for various tasks, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and project management. The specific duties and responsibilities assigned to Business Analysts will align with their experience levels, as defined below:
Key Responsibilities:
BA1 (Developmental):
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Assist in the analysis of business processes.
- Participate in project planning and documentation.
- Generally suited for individuals with less than three (3) years of experience specific to the skill.
BA2 (Full Performance):
- Manage and gather business requirements independently.
- Analyze complex business processes and recommend improvements.
- Play an active role in project management and coordination.
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience specific to the skill.
BA3 (Senior):
- Lead business requirement gathering and analysis efforts.
- Provide expertise in optimizing and streamlining business processes.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Requires a minimum of six (6) years of experience specific to the skill.
BA4 (Expert):
- Serve as a recognized expert in business analysis.
- Mentor, train, and guide others in the field.
- Lead complex projects and provide strategic insights.
- Generally requires eleven (11) years of experience specific to the skill.
BA5 (Subject Matter Expert - SME):
- Acknowledged as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the field.
- Typically certified in specific business analysis practices.
- Mentor and train team members, sharing extensive expertise.
- Requires a minimum of sixteen (16) years of experience specific to the skill.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Years of experience as specified for each experience level (BA1, BA2, BA3, BA4, BA5).
- Ability to gather documents effectively, and analyze business requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant tools and methodologies.
