Job Summary

The Human Resource Generalist will serve as the liaison between management, employees, and compliance partners by handling questions, interpreting, and helping resolve work-related problems. 

What you´ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of human resource management experience is required.

What you´ll do

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and aptitude exams.
• Interprets verbal communications during meetings, conferences, and phone calls.
• Ensures accuracy and clarity in translations, maintaining the tone and context of the original message.

• Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, leave of absence, benefits, or company policies.
• Advise managers on company policy, such as workplace injuries and employee grievances, and recommend needed changes.
• Implements new hire orientation, maintains employee personnel records, and conducts exit interviews.

• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance and productivity, morale, and occupational health and safety.
• Handles human resources-related inquiries and complaints from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to PuzzleHR.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations and recommends corrective action if necessary.
• Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Educate and communicate company personnel policies and procedures to newly hired
• and current employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Fluency in English and Spanish required (BFOQ-Bona Fide Occupational Qualification).
• Proficiency with Paycor, or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

• Must be able to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions.
