Dunkin is Hiring a Human Resource Generalist Near Brick Township, NJ

If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, we have a great opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, managing employee relations and updating and enforcing company policies and practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Experience using current Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Prior full cycle recruiting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal business skills
  • Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
  • Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
  • The responsibilities of this position will require you to be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Recruiting/Hiring/Onboarding/Orientation:

  • Support site-specific recruiting efforts with management of referral program and creation and implementation of social media strategy. 
  • Partner with operations to forecast hiring needs and create recruiting strategy when opening a new site and/or current site needs
  • Create, manage and deliver a new, informative and centralized onboarding process, including leading new hire orientation, to ensure a positive new hire first day orientation and onboarding experience. Conduct regular reviews and implements improvements, as needed. Process should include training newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
  • Develop HR materials, presentations and general information about the company for use in all recruiting, hiring, onboarding and orientation activities. 
  • Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
  • Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action.

Compliance/Admin/Reporting 

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
  • Draft templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
  • Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
  • Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

Employee Relations:

  • Embrace and create positive culture change. 
  • Enhance and create employee recognition programs. 
  • Engage with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
  • Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee
  • Conduct timely investigations of complaints and charges. 
  • Conduct accommodation discussions with employees, ensuring appropriate documentation is retained and the ADA is followed. 
  • Manage the FMLA process, including employee communications related to FMLA process and requirements, and tracking of time. 
  • Conduct employee surveys. 
  • Partner with operations leaders to develop appropriate and timely communication to increase employee awareness of and engagement in company initiatives and activities.

  • Provide necessary reporting and documentation to broker for processing. 
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and provide benefit resources as needed to include claim resolution and change reporting.
