Summary:

The Sales Planning Manager is tasked with building effective sales plans, providing efficient trade budgeting, building merchandise/incremental volume forecasts, and developing new item launch plans. The Sales Planning Manager is embedded in the Jarrow/Natrol cross functional team and is a key member of the commercial team tasked with driving both top and bottom-line growth. This role ensures that all necessary tools are built and enabled to allow the sales team to execute in the market at a high level in terms of merchandising, pricing, distribution, and shelving that delivers growth objectives that are profitable and enable the company to meet its financial commitments.

Responsibilities:

Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:

  • Sales Planning/Incremental Volume Driver Management:
  • Drive the Annual Merchandising Depth and Frequency Planning Process.
  • Responsible for monthly updates to Demand Drivers forecasting process.
  • Account Planning, ensure account plans are completed for the top Jarrow customers.
  • Manage KPIs for customers and market performance indicators.
  • Drive Channel Strategy, product, price, promotion, shelving.
  • Trade Marketing/Planning and Execution:
  • Plan trade budgets and monitors spend rates to balance to zero.
  • Establish budgets, objectives, establish an approval process including ROI review.
  • Assess results after the fact to determine impact and effectiveness of trade and customer marketing programs.
  • New Item Launch/Support Planning:
  • Own the sales forecast for all new item launches once the project receives approval to commercialize (Gate 3 in Stage Gate).
  • Work with the marketing team to develop channel (and account) specific launch plan including MSRP guidance, trade depth and frequency plan, shopper marketing integration, distribution targets, etc.
  • Create new product sales tool kits to ensure successful new product launches.
  • Sales Analytics:
  • Partner with Enterprise analytics team to create market-based sales tools based on syndicated data as well as consumer insights to provide selling tools to improve in market execution. Help determine with analytics where to play, how to win, and the right GOTM strategy utilizing the following Data sources:
  • Sales Analytics Internal, volume, mix, profit
  • Syndicated data analysis, insights
  • Customer Analytics, shipments, and consumption
Qualifications:

Youll need the following (minimum qualifications):

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Sales Planning experience preferred.
  • Bachelors required, masters or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in Natural Food, Amazon, and/or international channels preferred but not required.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and decision-making skills.??
  • Experience with analytics including financial analytics.?
  • Strategic thinker, results orientated and must possess sound judgement.?
  • Strong Business Acumen.?
  • Must be flexible, have a strong sense of urgency and be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess strong executional skills and pay close attention to detail.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
