Position: IT Software Developer
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Director of Ecommerce & Development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams across the company to define business requirements and establish technical needs.
• Develop and iterate on new data collection, processing, and analysis methodologies.
• Write efficient, secure, and maintainable code following secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP).
• Design and implement responsive websites using modern HTML/CSS practices and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
• Partner with web designers and other developers to create cohesive and scalable web solutions.
• Manage timelines and project deliverables, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate software solutions; maintain comprehensive software documentation.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Take charge of the full lifecycle of software applications, including expansion and optimization post-deployment.
• Conduct database analysis, optimizing for efficiency, and ensuring best practices in design and management.
• Engage in database design, including architecture and schema updates, while maintaining documentation.
• Establish, test, and manage new databases and data management systems.
• Optimize database performance, monitoring resource utilization and efficiency.
• Craft complex SQL queries for data insertion, update, and extraction.
• Provide support for business staff using various analytics tools to access and interpret data.
• Facilitate the use of BI and analytic query tools, addressing end-user reporting needs.

Minimum Required Professional Experience:

• 5 Years: Full-stack software development using current frameworks (e.g., .NET Core, Node.js, React) on Azure.
• 5 Years: Developing SQL and NoSQL solutions, preferably with experience in Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB.
• 3 Years: Implementing secure coding practices, familiarity with OWASP standards.
• 3 Years: Experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
• 3 Years: Business process automation and system analysis.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in database management and query languages (SQL, NoSQL).
• Strong understanding of systems analysis, design considerations, and system capacity planning.
• Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a dynamic work environment, leveraging project management tools.
• Deep functional knowledge and coding experience with a portfolio of projects.
• Experience with data modeling, reporting packages, and analytics tools.
• Analytical skills to work on complex datasets and provide comprehensive reports.
• Problem-solving mindset and meticulous attention to detail.

Education:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (Preferred).
