Members of our Prevention Team provide individual counseling, classroom instruction, and environmental awareness activities using the evidence-based Project SUCCESS (Schools Using Coordinated Community Efforts to Strengthen Students) intervention within their assigned school. Counselors are responsible for:

· Meeting program and contract outcomes as defined in the agency's annual organization plan;

· Provide school-based outreach services to youth, families and staff;

· Complete all administrative paperwork timely and accurately;

· Screen referrals for appropriateness, eligibility and identification of any co-occurring conditions;

· Facilitate recommendations and referrals as appropriate; and

· Participate in school-based teams as requested by schools.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field required, Master’s preferred.

Hours of Position: High Schools generally Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, and Middle Schools from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Must be able to pass a Level II Background Screening, school district background check, and a urinalysis test and have a valid Florida Driver’s License and personal,
