Pet Care Specialist:

• We are now expanding our amazing team with a new Pet Care Specialist. This new staff member will primarily work in the Near North Side but will have other earning opportunities outside those areas. Based on your availability, visits are scheduled as early as 8am and can run as late as 8:30pm.
• A candidate with consistent moring availability is preferred at this time.
• We also would prefer to promote a team member from within for a future supervisor position. This is a fantastic part-time position, but for a motivated individual, it can be a larger role with growth opportunities.
• Cozy Cats & Daily Dogs services Evanston, the Gold Coast, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, the Loop, Morton Grove, River North, and Skokie, but you would not be expected to service all those communities.

Compensation:

$14 - $22 / hour - estimated hourly pay rate based on previous pay roles

$100 - $700 / week

• Pet CPR, First Aid, or Fear-Free/Force-Free certifications are reimbursed up to $300.
• Bonuses for work anniversaries, performance, holiday work, and supporting your other team members.

The responsibilities:

• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats
• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs
• Check client's plants and mail.
• Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch
• Communicate with clients and staff via Time to Pet
• Travel to our office location or key drop locations upon request

The ideal candidate:

• An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate who can provide our client's cats and dogs with the highest quality visits possible.
• The candidate should have a detail-orientated mindset with a strong understanding of safety and time management.
• Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is always appreciated, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn are just as important.
• The candidate should enjoy an active work environment, traveling ad working independently in all four seasons.
• Special consideration for candidates with staff management or evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
• This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to start a career or grow their current professional experience with cats.
• Many members of our staff were previously private pet sitters, dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
