Drug Abuse Treatment Association, Inc., (DATA) is Hiring a Director of Residential Near Fort Pierce, FL

Purpose of Position:

To provide smooth operation of the residential treatment facilities consistent with program goals and objectives; to assure that staff follow stated policies and procedures; provide both behavioral and administrative supervision to all direct service staff; and to promote the health, safety and well-being of program youth in accordance with the agency and program’s mission and philosophy.

Job Responsibilities and Standards for Measuring Performance:

1. Responsible for the total operation of the residential programs as outlined in agency, program, and personnel policy and procedure manuals. Supervises all positions required to maintain the program.

2. Ensure that 24-hours a day 7days a week supervision is provided to all clients in the program. Supervision must be provided in accordance with agency coverage guidelines. If coverage is unavailable, program supervisor must provide it.

3. Responsible for ensuring smooth operation of Food Service program, including supervision of staff, purchasing of supplies and maintenance of equipment. Must ensure that all food service menus are approved by a dietitian annually in accordance with local and state guidelines.

4. Responsible for ongoing maintenance and upkeep of facility and grounds in accordance with agency, local and state guidelines. This includes all relevant internal and external inspections as defined by policies and procedures.

5. Ensure that all clients are provided individual, group and family and counseling services at the frequency outlined by contractual requirements. A minimum of 10 hours direct clinical services must be provided to each client per week (minimum 24 direct service hours per therapist weekly).

6. Provide supervision to all direct care and support staff with the exception of the Therapists. This will include regular and frequent staff meetings, and case review. Staff meetings must be held at least monthly and shall include all appropriate documentation.

7. Responsible for meeting program and contract outcomes as defined in the agency’s annual organization plan.

8. Fill all open positions within 30 days of notice of vacancy. Responsible for hiring, training, and maintaining professional staff at all times.

9. Ensure continuation of services to clients in the event of staff absences or vacancies.

10. Maintain all residential client files in accordance with agency, state, federal and CARF guidelines.

11. Responsible for maintaining programs’ wait list.

12. Ensure that programs are operating at full capacity.

13. Responsible for all contents of files for completeness and accuracy prior to discharge as evidenced by signature.

14. Participate in Peer review process on a monthly basis.

15. Responsible for residential treatment team including: Ensuring that staff are prepared; lead and document treatment teams; and ensure that treatment teams occur at designated times and frequency.

16. Responsible for reporting and mediating all incidents and grievances.

17. Responsible for conducting monthly staff meetings and maintaining appropriate documentation in meeting log, as defined by policies and procedures.

18. Ensure that staff development policy is maintained according to agency standards.

19. Maintain a minimum of training hours in accordance with agency and state guidelines as outlined in Personnel Practices Manual (section A - Employee Certifications - In-Service Training).

20. Participate in all relevant performance Improvement Committees as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

21. Development and implement annual quality improvement plan which is program specific.

22. Perform other duties as assigned by Chief Executive Officer.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Required (Master’s degree/Licensed Professional preferred) in accepted behavioral health field. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the operation of a residential treatment program. Three years supervisory experience required. This position requires knowledge of all aspects of residential treatment for substance abuse. This includes all operations relevant to programming, food service, facility maintenance, hiring practices, staff scheduling, transportation, etc. This position requires excellent communication and documentation skills, as well as demonstrated knowledge and experience in the areas of case management, clinical intervention, the criminal justice system, adolescent services, and the court system. In some instances, educational requirements may be waived in lieu of experience with the permission of the Chief Executive Officer.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
