Job Requirements:

As the Employee Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the Company’s employee benefits program and providing assistance to employees with their benefits questions.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments and life status changes in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Conducts benefits orientation for new-hire.
  • Handles the open enrollment process.
  • Responds to and processes benefit inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, claims concerns, status changes, and other general inquiries.
  • Responds to and processes 401(k) inquiries from employees relating to enrollments and plan changes contribution amounts.
  • Handles company wellness program.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience; and/or National certification from Society of Human Resources Management preferred.
  • 2-5 years of HR focused on employee benefits knowledge and applicable laws preferred.
