About the team 

The Training & Talent Development Manager is a part of the Learning and Enablement team and supports the company and customers through programs and solutions to drive learning and understanding and employee effectiveness.

About the role

The Training & Talent Development Manager supports employees by building innovative programs and scale solutions to make them more effective in their roles, have an understanding of key information tied to our SGIs, and in turn help our customers be more successful. They orchestrate and develop internal, organization-wide programs in cross-functional partnership with Enablement, Customer Team, Sales, Product, Field Operations, and other teams. 

This role is expected to lead strategic and high functioning work streams that deliver programmatic engagement activities that drive deep understanding, increased employee sentiment, and strong and efficient employees. This includes designing curriculum, facilitating live enablement sessions and managing programs to achieve sustainable success.

What you’ll be doing on the team:

  • Researching content to create and maintain educational material for all Drifters
    • Externally sourcing information from the industry and best practices
    • Internally working with other team members who are Subject Matter Experts
  • Develop and deliver organization-wide training initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of employees to achieve our goals tied to SGIs. These programs include:
    • New employee onboarding; Monthly program aimed to deliver a deeper understanding of the company, its customers, the product and the value it provides.
    • Understanding AI: in the industry, our product and within each department and role (through partnership with other areas of the company).
    • Growth and Development: Individual Development Plans, Professional Skills
  • Partner with other Enablement Team members to implement company training in key areas
    • Product: understanding what Drift does, how it works, and staying up to date on new features and releases.
    • Go To Market: Value Drivers, Path to Conversion, and more.
  • Partner with HR and People Team to deliver programs focused on development
    • Manager Enablement: Performance Management, Emerging Leaders, Change Management, Coaching and Mentoring, Engagement and more.
  • Build and implement the processes and tools needed to support our training and enablement strategy
  • Build an effective new employee onboarding template for all departments to use to onboard their individual team members
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of all learning programs
  • Develop competency assessment programs, as well as certification programs that are pertinent to all employees through partnership with SMEs as needed
  • Schedule and communicate learning to the company
  • Facilitate live sessions

By month 3 you'll 

  • Have a strong understanding of Drift- culture, product and our competitive advantage.
  • Oversee the Drift into Success Monthly Onboarding Program for new hires. 
  • Manage curricula and reporting for online, self-paced onboarding and result-driven continuous learning partnering with HRBPs to ensure completion across the company
  • Meet with SMEs and identify any additional training needs and/or gaps across the org.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process improvement to other Program Managers
  • Drive global use of Lessonly (internal Learning Management System)

By month 6 you'll 

  • Build, maintain, report, and audit existing content for any updates necessary through partnership with SMEs as needed
  • Collaborate with SMEs to identify and develop core training and enablement curriculum, customized departmentally as needed, for various departmental teams
  • Create and launch a micro-learning 90-day continuous learning program for new hires.
  • Ship a remote onboarding playbook, kit and certification program for Drift managers.
  • Hold quarterly learning events for new hires that extend the Drift enculturation experience through the first-year of employment.
  • Collaborate with the People team on ways to increase first year retention.

By 1 year you’ll 

Assist with the development of training and enablement programs and content, customized departmentally as neededExecute programs to ensure company teams are equipped with content, resources, tools and training to effectively understand the Drift vision and value and achieve our goals tied to SGIsDefine, lead, and track additional strategic and operational programs to successful completion

About you and what type of skills you’ll need: 

  • Previous experience in program management, new hire onboarding, training and enablement, or instructional design
  • Previous experience with LMS systems (Lessonly preferred)
  • Ability to work in a high-energy Marketing team environment
  • Experience remotely collaborating with multiple stakeholders and SMEs
  • Strong communication; excellent listening, writing and facilitation skills
  • Willingness to try new things, ask questions
  • Take ownership of your work and continuously push for high standards

For US residents: The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $87,000 to $109,000. Through a review of equity with other team members, market data, experience, knowledge, skills and the abilities of the applicant, the level and salary ranges may change. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at a percentage of the base salary.
