DoubleTree by Hilton is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Livermore, CA

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base for guestrooms and event space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, account management, business development, and possess exceptional leadership skills.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Being passionate about driving revenue and profitability while providing guidance and support to hotel team
  • Working the market while creatively positioning hotel features and benefits, operations and competitive strengths and weaknesses to assist customers in their buying decisions
  • Actively solicit and negotiate business with new and existing clients through daily prospecting, outside sales calls, telephone solicitation, site visits e-communications, referrals and networking
  • Focus on driving extended stay group and transient occupancy
  • Travel locally and around the area as necessary to conduct outside sales calls, attend trade shows and presentations to promote hotel and develop new business and awareness of the hotel
  • Assist General Manager, Director of Sales to ensure pricing and revenue strategies are aligned with market in order to maximize revenue
  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations
  • Build customer loyalty while generating new revenue by developing long-term relationships
  • Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
  • Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
  • Develops effective sales plans and actions
  • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
  • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
  • Organizes and conducts customer site inspections
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
  • Executes the brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards through the sales process
  • Work with Director of Sales and other members of team to ensure adequate coverage of the Sales Department
  • Create group resumes identifying and communicating traveler's needs and acting as liaison to ensure all operational and marketing aspects of their stay are met
  • Review daily arrivals to isolate potential new clients

**Experience:**

  • Experience as a Sales Manager in a like sized property, two years or more preferred
  • Sales Experience at a premium-branded, full-service hotel preferred
  • Knowledge of local competition and industry trends
  • Strong leadership and professional image
  • Excellent decision making ability and analytical skills
  • Be able to multi-task various job duties daily
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university or equivalent education/experience preferred
  • Provides excellent customer sales service in order to grow share of the account

**Qualifications:**

  • Strong knowledge of the Tri Valley market
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid drivers license Ability to travel and work independently
  • Capable of planning and executing sales trips (local, domestic,
  • Professional appearance & demeanor
  • Strong client/guest service skills
  • Knowledge of systems such as OnQ PM, Delphi
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
  • Must have proven to sell, negotiating, and presentation skills in a hotel sales environment
  • Must be organized and willing to take the initiative to achieve the goals of both the department and the hotel
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
