Doran Jones Inc. is looking for an experienced Python Developer to participate in projects for a multi-national financial services firm. In this role, you will provide hands-on delivery while learning to lead a development team.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust and scalable web applications tailored for the financial services sector using Python (Django/Flask) and JavaScript (jQuery/React/Node).
• Implement responsive UI designs using HTML/CSS, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Optimize SQL queries and utilize caching techniques for enhanced performance, prioritizing data integrity and security.
• Apply practical knowledge of design patterns and system design principles to architect efficient solutions for financial applications, considering factors such as transaction volume, latency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate real-time or distributed processing systems, leveraging your experience to enhance trading platforms, risk management systems, or financial analytics tools.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and regulatory changes in the financial services industry to ensure compliance and drive innovation in application development practices.

Required Experience

• 5 years of experience in application development with proficiency in Python (Django/Flask) and JavaScript (jQuery/React/Node).
• Expertise in SQL, including raw querying, optimization, and stored procedures, with an understanding of financial data modeling and analysis.
• Practical experience with design patterns and system design, particularly in the context of financial systems.
• Familiarity with real-time or distributed processing systems is a plus, along with knowledge of financial market protocols and APIs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

$70,000 - $200,000 a year
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as role, work experience, education/training and skill level, market conditions, and the candidate's geographic location.
