Busy Medical Practice looking for a self-motivated and reliable person to join our team.
· Welcome and greet patients, clients, and visitors to the office in a manner that is helpful and friendly; determine purpose of visit and direct them to appropriate person.
· Schedules appointment for the patient per a particular physician's scheduling protocol.
· Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal demographic and financial information.
· Input and update patient insurance information and check insurance eligibility and coverage at each visit.
· Answer telephones, take detailed messages and direct calls to appropriate staff.
· Maintain fax inbox server and attaches patient documents to chart and directs documents to appropriate staff as necessary.
·Collects co-pays and past due balances from patients and processes patient payments via credit card processing.
·Responsible for sending medical record request and obtaining medical records from other offices for new patients and/or existing patients as needed.
·Maintain patient waiting areas, office files, and front-desk areas in a manner that is organized and neat.
·Protect patients' confidentiality under HIPPA standards and maintaining personal and financial information.
