DNV is Hiring a Remote North America Wind Business Development Manager

Local Unit & Position Description

The DNV Energy Systems GreenPowerMonitor and Solutions business unit seeks an experienced Wind Business Development Manager to join our North America team. This position will be the customer-facing proponent for our asset management hardware and software solutions in this market.GreenPowerMonitor is a global technology solutions provider for the renewable energy industry. The North America Manager of Wind Business Development is part of the Global Business Development team. They will report to the CSO and the Director of Wind. They will be responsible for attending conferences, being a visible presence on social media, meeting customers, understanding their needs, writing proposals, and obtaining executed contracts from Customers.Join GPM in Leading the green energy transition through data-driven digital solutions!

The position will be based in our DNV office in Austin, TX.

What You ll Do

  • Work closely with the Director of Wind and the Product team to ensure alignment on the GPM offering
  • Manage the wind sales pipeline/order intake for the North America region
  • Clearly explain technical features in GPM offerings
  • Demonstrate the GPM wind offering, including advanced analytics in detail to potential Customers
  • Translate technical requirements into proposals
  • Develop regional market development plan and annual sales targets
  • Accountable for bid-no-bid decisions
  • Ensure accounts receivable and work-in-progress meet corporate guidelines

Position Qualifications

What Is Required

  • Minimum bachelor s degree in one of the following fields: Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Renewables, Management information systems, Computer science, Physics or Mathematics, Wind Business Development
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a technical sales role, including knowledge of how wind and photovoltaic plants work, is preferred. Sales experience within the wind industry is highly desired
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to communicate with the Customer
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and willingness to take on challenges and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, Customer-centric environment while delivering high-quality work
  • Build and maintain a strong network of both external and internal contracts and relationships and utilize it to achieve GPM objectives. Has a customer focus and the ability to engage and interact with Customers
  • Confident as a speaker and presenter in Customer meetings with senior management
  • Exceptional commercial awareness, results orientated and proven business development ability
  • Travel to Customers, conferences, and other offices (and internationally) is required within this role
  • You are curious, interested, well-organized and engaged
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 35 % of the time
