About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a full time Azure Cloud Engineer to support a Federal Government customer in the DC metro area. This Azure Cloud Engineer will provide support for an enterprise web-based system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, organize, and migrate systems or sub-systems to Azure cloud.
• Identify the cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the customer and program.
• Deploy Azure VMs (Windows Server and Linux) in a highly available environment
• Use PowerShell and JSON templates to deploy resources and repeatable deployments with ARM templates.
• Automate Deployment and Scale of Azure IaaS Solution script, automate, and scale Azure deployments.Microsoft Azure IaaS Monitoring and Management, manage and monitor IaaS deployments.
• Utilize the latest Azure services and other cloud-based technologies to assist customers with their security and availability.
• Maintain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of Azure to ensure all appropriate options are considered to best support business requirements
• Assume Technical Ownership/Support of Project Implementations
• Knowledge of monitoring an IT environment a plus (datacenters, applications, uptime reports, service metrics)

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

• At least six (6) years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related discipline. 

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: 

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Experience with cloud-native tools, cloud computing, services, and configuring/using Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Templates based on best practices and Azure policies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers, Operations, and Applications (PowerShell, IIS). Hands-on development and scripting in PowerShell.
• Experience Application Insights, Azure monitor metric.
• Experience actively implementing cloud solutions and using Azure services.
• Experience with automation to Infrastructure (IaC - Infrastructure as Code)
• Excellent Windows/LINUX tools/utilities, scripting, and basic administration skills
• Application development & debugging experience with C/C /C#, Python, Node.JS, etc.
• Experience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, Python, C#, Open Source) desired

Additional Requirements:

• Certification in Microsoft and/or competing Azure Cloud Technologies is desired.
• Minimum 3 years in US
• Ability to meet government security screening requirements are required for this role.
