Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain specific system operations.
  • Deploy patches and new versions of software.
  • Edit listing of SOPs and problem resolution logs.
  • Provide feedback in lessons learned and implement changes.
  • Record and document incidents and incident resolutions.
  • Deploy and maintain thick- and thin-client applications.
  • Train end-users on new features and processes.
  • Troubleshoot end-user issues.
  • Participate in planning, development and deployment meetings with development staff.
  • Provide helpdesk and maintenance support to End-users.
  • Detailed Knowledge of Amazon Web Services/ Gov Cloud and the ability to perform administrative maintenance and issue resolution.
Education and Experience
  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or other technical field.
Required Skills
  • Requires knowledge of workflow processes, internal system operations and component services (file servers, db servers, AWS servers, process agents, internet servers, scan stations).
  • Updating technical documentation for submission to approving teams as well as day-to-day maintenance of a cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Knowledge to perform daily, weekly and periodic updates and maintenance operations to production, development and backup systems.
  • Assist with operations related Helpdesk tickets, to answer questions and troubleshoot system, group and end-user issues.
  • Experience with Basic system operations: member/group creation, worklist and document workflow monitoring, system health and space requirements.
  • Ability to perform and check system backups.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with the use of system logging & monitoring tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with delivering web-based applications and dealing with the challenges of compatibility, scalability, and performance
  • Familiarity with server, PC and NAS hardware and their maintenance
  • Expertise in documenting administrative functions and processes
  • Expertise in analyzing workflow solutions
  • End-to-end understanding of development processes, organization, and techniques in order to drive the creation of optimal solutions
Desired Skills
  • Experience Content Server/Livelink administration duties.
  • Provide plans and schedules (MS Project) to program manager for identified projects.
  • Ability to use standard problem solving techniques to diagnose system irregularities and problems.
  • Knowledge of QA procedures.
  • Provide test plans for new applications.
  • Provide basic documentation/training materials for new applications.
  • Ability to multi-task several issues simultaneously and rank according to severity.
  • Ideally familiarity w PostgreSQL data functionality
  • Ideally familiarity w Open Text products such as AppWorks and Content Server
Basic Skills
  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues: identified problem areas, potential problem areas, new hardware and software.
  • Liaison with outside vendors of third-party software and hardware.
  • Monitor contracts for technical support and maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work under pressure and at speed to minimize the impact to end-users of system planned and unplanned issues.
  • Willingness to learn system specifics.
  • Ability to maintain a 'toolbox' of solutions and to recognized patterns in troubleshooting and helpdesk support.
  • Maintain records and documentation of actions and procedures.
  • Organizational skills.
