About this Opportunity 
The Lead Cloud Development Engineer is a member of a mixed skill squad consisting of Python developers, Terraform automation engineers and DevOps SMEs responsible for the delivery of a brand new Cloud Management Platform (AWS and Azure) comprised of commercial tooling and custom built solutions. 

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge tools that empower our software developers and streamline our development processes. You will build automation tools, workflow models and capabilities centered around provisioning and managing our organization’s cloud-based systems. You will research technologies independently and recommend appropriate solutions, assist in the technical design of complex systems, and contributes to technology-specific best practices & standards.

What You'll Do

• Technology Expertise – is a subject matter expert on one or more of programming languages, vendor products, DTCC applications, data structures, business lines
• Platforms – works with Infrastructure partners to stand up development, testing, and production environments
• Requirements Elaboration – works with the Functional Architect to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements
• Data Modeling – reviews and extends data models
• System Performance – contributes to solutions that satisfy performance requirements; constructs test cases and strategies that account for performance requirements; tunes application performance issues
• Security – implements solutions and executes test plans working mentoring other team members in best practice
• Standards – is aware of technology standards and understands technical solutions need to be consistent with them
• Documentation – develops and maintains system documentation
• Effectively manages individual and team performance, maintaining high standards for team members
• Supports team in managing client expectations and resolving issues on time
• Ensures own and team’s practices support success across all geographic locations

Talent Needed for success: 

• Proficiency in one or more computing languages -- especially scripting languages, such as Python, Ruby, PHP and Strong Object-Oriented programming concepts
• In-depth hands-on experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration.
• Experience in provisioning AWS/Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code(IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework
• Demonstrated expertise in AWS foundation concepts: Networking, Security, Compute, Serverless, Containers, Monitoring, and Application Reliability
• Hands-on experience in setting up CI/CD for code build, test, deployment and delivery in GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins
• Experience managing and working with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible) 
• Hands on experience designing and building solutions utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, KMS, Lambda, IAM, Kinesis, ECS. 
• Hands on experience in writing automation code in Python, AWS CLI, Groovy, using external APIs in automation code

Sound Like You?

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Additional Qualifications

• Strong preference for AWS professional certifications
• Strong experience in Python, Terraform and other cloud native tools.
• Proficiency in Java development is a plus
• Experience developing business applications using the AWS platform, especially using the serverless platform.
• Well versed in Agile software development practices and tools including Git and Gitflow

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
