- Detailed Engineering analysis, calculations, design, and sketches for Capex, plant support, and construction installations.
- Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations, including field and design documents.
- Develop equipment specs related to material handling, packaging, pumps, and tanks.
- Provides supervision and technical direction to Designers, Drafters and Engineers.
- Develop project scopes and estimates (hours and TICs) related to mechanical design and engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineer or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Design Engineering or related field.
- Experience with AutoCad.
- 5 years’ experience in creating equipment specifications.
- Basic knowledge of drafting and design standards and procedures
- Working knowledge of ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, ASME, API and other code and regulatory requirements as they apply to their area of work and the implications they have on the project.
- Presentation of calculations and results in an organized manner and orderly record keeping are necessary skills.
- Basic knowledge of the chemical industry and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrate a continuing awareness and implementation of safety practices in the workplace and in the production of CADD drawings (“Safety in Design”).
- Proficient with MS suite and autocad.
