Reporting to the Group Manager of Internal Communications, the Internal Communications Manager is critical to supporting and strengthening how we keep our people informed, engaged and connected. The role of the Communications team is to shape and share our story as we serve the 150 million people who come to Discord every month…and the passionate team members delivering for them. What You'll Be Doing

• Support the entire lifecycle of internal communications initiatives, including strategic ideation, planning, creative execution and measurement of success
• Drive development of internal communications plans, messaging and materials that align with company priorities, mission and values
• Build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders (including leadership and cross-functional partners) to help connect the dots across the business
• Disseminate key information impacting employees through various channels, with a specific emphasis on connected storytelling and change management
• Help organize, program, plan, promote and execute hybrid company events, including All Hands meetings, kick-offs, game nights and other milestone moments
• Support and strengthen the flow of information across the company, ensuring information is easy to discover and consume

You Will Thrive In This Role If

• 3-5 years of experience building and managing successful internal communications programs (from strategic ideation to execution)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to operate with empathy, agility and flexibility in a hybrid, collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Track record of building strong relationships, partnering with and advising cross-functional stakeholders (including executive audiences)
• Excellent organizational, project management and prioritization skills
• A creative, resourceful, forward-looking approach to problem-solving

Bonus Points

• An understanding of and/or experience using Discord
• Previous ownership of company All Hands program
• Ability to connect the dots and translate complex ideas into concise, easy-to-understand communications
• Experience communicating change, planning events and developing content
• Track record of demonstrating how internal communications drives a business forward
• Ability to anticipate and balance risks and considerations impacting communications

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000 to $151,000 equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
