**Responsibilities**

* Receive cash, check and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received.

* Close the customer's repair order (used as customer's bill) using computer system.

* Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts to customers.

* Prepare daily sales report to ascertain and record totals shown on cash register tape and verify against cash on hand.

* Answer telephones and contact customers when necessary.

* Maintain service related correspondence and files.

* Refer customers who have additional questions (e.g., questions about their repair order) to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.

* Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the customer to the appropriate individual for further communication.

* Utilize two-way radio and/or intercom to communicate with sales and service employees when necessary.

* Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace and notify management of any unsafe working conditions.

* Maintain strict confidentiality of confidential personal information of our customers in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, implementing the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act as they pertain to automobile dealerships and adhere to all other company rules, policies and procedures as stated in the employee handbook.

* Perform other duties as assigned.
