We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated and detail oriented Legal & Compliance Intern to join our team in-office for the summer of 2024. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal & compliance functions of a global alternative investment manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the review of marketing materials, investment documents, and other communications for compliance with SEC and other regulatory requirements
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures
• Conduct research on regulatory developments and assist in updating compliance materials accordingly
• Participate in the development, administration and delivery of compliance training programs
• Help in preparing reports for internal management
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence with compliance standards
• Support testing and regulatory filings
• Assist with corporate agreement and document drafting and review
• Assist with legal structure verifications and review
• Assist with legal and compliance projects as needed

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a juris doctorate degree
• Coursework in corporate law, securities regulation or compliance would be helpful
• Strong interest in the field of corporate law and/or compliance
• Intellectually curious, organized, detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-starter, team player, entrepreneurial and ability to take initiative

The expected compensation for this position is $35 per hour. The base salary offered will depend on qualifications, market data and internal equity.
