This position calls for an experienced and successful Manufacturing leader who has proven that they have what it takes to meaningfully improve the operational economics of a high-mix, low-volume machining and assembly facility.What will my responsibilities include?
  • Direct and manage Richfield’s manufacturing activities to achieve business objectives and policy deployment.
  • Install operations processes and procedures that ensure that company goals and objectives are met.
  • Ensure proper staffing and staff development in the plant operations departments.
  • Execute established metrics, expectations and accountabilities of direct reports.
  • Oversee internal performance metrics in safety, delivery, productivity, labor effectiveness, quality, and financial performance.
  • Drive a lean manufacturing culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide enhancements to material utilization.
  • Promote and maintain a safe manufacturing environment.
  • Identify appropriate capital projects.
  • Direct the installation and maintenance of all manufacturing and assembly equipment.
  • Ensure all policies and work practices are adhered to so as to ensure a safe manufacturing and operation environment that complies with all OSHA and other safety guidelines.
  • Develop and monitor production and shipping schedules, and coordinate production activities between shifts and other functions.
  • Provide a motivational team environment.

What qualifications should I have?
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing management roles.
  • Experience as a manufacturing manager in a CNC machine shop facility.
  • Experience in a job shop manufacturing environment with high-mix, low-volume, complex, engineered products.
  • Experience in a mid-sized manufacturing company. A mix of large-size and mid-sized is preferred.
  • Success in implementing a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement culture.
  • Experience in operational strategic planning.
  • Proven metric-based track record in:
      • Achieving production efficiency goals.
      • Achieving on time delivery goals.
      • Achieving/support of quality targets.
      • Exceeding industry safety standards.
      • Fostering a team-based approach on continuous improvement in every step of the value chain.
  • Experience in implementing, upgrading or working with an effective ERP system.
  • Experience and knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
