Overview

We have offices in Philadelphia and New York. We are open to applications from all over the US, supported by remote and flexible hybrid working policies. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Associate Director, Business Development will be an integral player in powering Lucid Group’s new business growth engine, spearheading our efforts in identifying prospects who would benefit from Lucid Group’s suite of services and engaging them with compelling messaging that aligns their needs to our solutions. This role is pivotal in leveraging tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, media and managing internal datasets to enable and inform Lucid Group’s tailored engagement with potential prospects, thereby supporting business leaders in converting them into clients.

Responsibilities

Expertise and Knowledge Development: 

  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of Lucid's business dynamics, distinguishing features, and services to identify and engage prime prospect client targets through tailored messages. 
  • Stay abreast of Lucid’s evolving capabilities and offerings to represent the organisation adeptly in various platforms, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Business Development and Networking:

  • Leverage multiple data sources to identify and map potential prospects, provide a pipeline of opportunities. 
  • Evaluate and categorise prospects, prioritising them based on a predefined set of criteria to focus on high-potential leads. 
  • Take direction on actions steps for messaging and solutions based on target’s needs. 
  • Organize and orchestrate a communication strategy delivering tailored messages to different prospects to generate new leads. 
  • Help to inform our targeting/messaging strategy based on market intelligence and customer needs analysis.
  • Partner with commercial leaders to facilitate a seamless transition of leads through the conversion funnel, nurturing relationships to secure new clients. 
  • Implement strategic business development plans, orchestrating outreach campaigns aimed at maximising revenue and meeting sales targets. 
  • EXECUTE AGAINST CVP: Collaborate with commercial leaders in drafting compelling Client Value Proposition (CVP)-based messages, with an acute focus on Lucid Group’s unique solution set. 

Client Relationship and Sales Strategy: 

  • Hand off any client knowledge to client vertical teams helping with any relevant client materials. Performance Analysis and Reporting: 
  • Maintain an organised and current record of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities. 
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of marketing and lead generation strategies to optimise conversion rates and ROI. 

Qualifications

Essential criteria: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in client services, sales, or business development roles. 
  • Proven track record in creating and advancing a new business pipeline, leveraging an existing network in global pharma and biotech landscapes. 
  • Demonstrable success in lead generation through LinkedIn Sales Navigator and database management, coupled with a history of achieving sales targets. 
  • Excellent creative writing and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex ideas persuasively and confidently to internal stakeholders 
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to meeting business objectives, with a results-driven mindset. 
  • Proficiency in using and establishing CRM software and other sales and marketing tools, coupled with experience in database management. 

Desired criteria: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • Experience working within an agency environment.
