Summary You will serve as the DEPUTY ACQUISITION LEAD in the office of the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Tactical Aircraft Programs (PEO(T)). Duties * You will assist in establishing and implementing acquisition strategic, plans, and policies. * You will monitor operating programs/projects to measure progress towards effectively and economically reaching objectives. * You will review correspondence and reports concerning issues related to the assigned acquisition programs. * You will represent PEO(T) Acquisition Lead at meetings and discussions with other SYSCOMS, OPNAV, and SECNAV representatives on subjects related to assigned programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) determining data needed to justify and plan objectives for new programs/projects; 2) developing new or modified work operations and progress plans, resources, estimates and utilization data of the organization's program/project; 3) creating programs/projects or modifying existing ones; 4) Conducting studies and analyses of program/project objectives, policies, actual or potential problem areas, economic and political impact, and similar management concerns; 5) developing solutions to complex problems and providing economically sound recommendations to management to support program policies and procedures. .
