Department of Technology is Hiring an ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST Near Sacramento, CA

Telework is available.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA), Digital Equity Engagement and Operations Analyst works under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), Engagement and Operations Manager with extensive, close interaction with other Office leaders and staff. The AGPA supports with OBDL project phases, including identifying project scopes, assisting with schedules, identifying resources, supporting stakeholder engagement and relations, communications, data and operation management, and various special assignments relating to but not limited to the state’s Digital Equity Implementation Program and Broadband for All initiatives.

Working Conditions

  • May be required to work outside of normal business hours and is required to carry a mobile device.
  • May be required to travel to meetings or customer department sites throughout California.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance in order to perform these functions.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of broadband policy and the state’s Broadband for All program and other digital equity initiatives including California’s State Digital Equity Plan.
  • Experience in policy and research activities for a government office, nonprofit, political campaign, or private sector entity.
  • Experience with local, state, and federal policy and legislation.
  • Experience in working with elected officials and public agencies to engage participation and foster collaborative partnerships.
  • High degree of political and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision by being a self-motivator and a team player.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively work with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to handle changing priorities, and work under pressure within time constraints.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Press, and Customer Relationship Management tool (i.e. Salesforce).
