The Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (Board) has a diverse, hard-working, team-oriented group of employees whose primary focus is the licensing and regulation of three professions: speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and hearing aid dispensers.
The Board is looking for a highly-motivated individual who enjoys working with a diverse group of individuals, that includes subject matter experts and law enforcement officers, to investigate consumer complaints against Board licensees and enjoys learning new concepts and processes. Many of the Board's investigations involve vulnerable elderly citizens and children.
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for conducting independent investigations of consumer complaints and for the coordination of the enforcement programs policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
The position requires the ability to interpret applicable laws, regulations and policies. Incumbent must possess good interpersonal communications skills, use good judgment in decision-making, exercise flexibility in problem identification and resolution, and manage time and resources effectively. The incumbent must also be able to accurately assign priorities to multiple projects at any given time and be flexible regarding interruptions and changes in priorities relative to workload. Confidentiality and discretion are required due to the nature and sensitivity of the documents handled. Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential part of this job.

Working Conditions
The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting, with both natural and artificial light and temperature control. Daily access to and use of a personal computer and Teams telephone is essential. Sitting and standing requirements are consistent with office work. Position requires some weekend and evening work, as well as overtime during peak licensing season. Telework is not an option for this position.
