DENSO Career Connection is Hiring a Business Development Director, Agriculture Technology Near Southfield, MI

Job Summary

Certhon, based in The Netherlands, is a world-class leader in the design and construction of horticultural projects. This includes turnkey greenhouses, indoor- and vertical farming facilities as well as automation / robotization projects. Certhon is partnering with Denso to activate high-tech horticultural projects around the world. To coordinate and supervise activities in North America, Certhon is looking for a business development leader for the North America team based at the Denso HQ, near Detroit, MI, USA.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and coordinate inquiries and/or orders from North America customers. Act as first point of contact for the Certhon North America team.
  • Establish Certhon as a market leader for high-tech greenhouse development.
  • Work with Denso and Certhon teams on strategical development plans to achieve goals and implement plans.
  • Laisse with Denso and Certhon teams based in the USA and The Netherlands.
  • Coordinate commercial and technical support by Certhon (The Netherlands) and strategic support by Denso (US). 
  • Attend trade shows and events in USA, Canada and Europe. Build customer relationships throughout North America. 
  • Travel as needed to Europe to attend exhibitions, support projects and visit Certhon HQ offices.
  • Report on strategic plans and activities on a regular basis to senior staff and management within the Denso and Certhon organizations. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in business, technology or horticulture.
  • Knowledge of North America horticultural industry.
  • Strong customer relations and lead generation experience for capital projects.
  • Excellent presentations skills. 
  • Strong commercial, networking, business and financial acumen is required.
  • Ability to travel extensively in USA and Canada.
  • Team player and results driven.
  • Flexibility to work from home and regularly visit Denso office in Detroit.
  • Curiosity in technology/technical savviness required. 

Salary $165,000-$204,000.
