Assistant Manager – Papa John’s

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager (GM) in all restaurant activities and is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of Papa John’s and Salsarita’s. The Assistant Manager works to ensure that all activities are consistent with and support the overall vision of Denard Enterprises and its Brands – To Satisfy the Customer. The Assistant Manager ensures all employees (Hourly Manager, Crew Leader and Crew Persons) are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions. The Assistant Manager must be able to oversee the store in the GM’s absence. The Assistant Manager will report directly to the General Manager.
The Assistant Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality , exceptional customer service and immaculate cleanliness (QSC) and sanitation at all times.
  • The Assistant Manager as directed by the GM is responsible for directing the daily operations of the restaurant and ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product management, customer service, cost control, inventory management, ordering, and storage organization. The Assistant Manager will accept and check in all deliveries.
  • The Assistant Manager must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge in brand standards and procedures.
  • The Assistant Manager must be able to work all shifts and understand every position within the operation.
  • The Assistant Manager will counsel and discipline team members as necessary.
  • The Assistant Manager continuously works to improve the skills, knowledge and abilities of all employees. The Assistant Manager will treat the employees with dignity and respect and create an environment where employees treat everyone, especially the customer, the way you want to be treated.
  • The Assistant Manager evaluates each employee’s performance based on clearly communicated standards and expectations. The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing service standards through training, performance management, promotions/demotions, high expectation and accountability for all employees.
  • The Assistant Manager as directed by the GM will provide daily, weekly and monthly updates of sales and other relevant information.
  • The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing labor and scheduling crew members.
  • The Assistant Manager will interact directly with customers to ensure that expectations are exceeded.
  • The Assistant Manager must possess strong management, team building, communication and organizational skills.
  • The Assistant Manager as directed by the GM will meet regularly with hourly shift managers to review performance, share best practices and disseminate information on any areas where we have an opportunity for improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Charlotte, NC 28208: Relocate before starting work (Required)
