Outside Sales Manager - Houston, TX

Job Purpose: The Outside Sales Manager will lead our outside sales team that performs both inbound and outbound tele-sales. The primary focus of the role will be setting the direction and priorities for the team to achieve sales objectives for the team. Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com and call center automation software is key to be able to build and nurture opportunities. This role is crucial to helping our company continue to grow organic recycling in the U.S. Your team will obtain used cooking oil that we convert to biodiesel and food manufacturing byproducts that we turn into animal feed.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Executes and manages business plan and sales strategy to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Recruits, hires and creates personnel development plan.
  • Serves as coach and mentor to inside sales personnel while also partnering with Outside Sales to ensure achievement of mutual growth plans.
  • Oversees performance and development of inside sales team. Prepares action plans for inside sales team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Conducts one-on-one review with sales team to build effective communications, training, development needs and provide insight for improvement of team sales.
  • Identifies and new sales initiatives and executes sales strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Assists in implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Develops incentive plans to encourage the best performance of the Inside Sales Team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Work on-site in our Dallas office
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or communications.
  • 5 years of Inside Sales Experience
  • 5 years Management Experience
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with a CRM (Salesforce).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Superior analytical skills that include the ability to see granular as well as big picture issues.
  • Experience working Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of conversion rates, close rates, leads and opportunities, funnel opportunity and understanding of the full life cycle of a buyer’s journey.
  • Experience in restaurant, food manufacturing or agriculture is a plus
