DEMETREE GLOBAL is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Winter Park, FL

Description: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our property management team in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail properties. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and improvement of property facilities.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and parking lot upkeep.
  • Respond promptly to work orders and requests assigned by property management.
  • Regularly inspect the property for any issues and report findings to management.
  • Uphold safety standards and work to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Undertake special projects such as painting and pressure cleaning as needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to avoid future problems or breakdowns.
  • Carry out additional duties and handle various projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge in skilled trades like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical is preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently on special projects.
  • Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs and utilizing ladders and scissor lifts up to 20ft.
  • Must consistently use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or trade education is a plus.

Language Skills:

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with the management team and report on maintenance issues and projects.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Capable of identifying problems, collecting relevant data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions for maintenance solutions.

Work Environment:

  • This role primarily involves physical work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors, with a moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, walking, standing, reaching, and lifting are required for this position.
