Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Senior Solution Specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do
Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Drive the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation. Identify and mitigate risks in process and technology for engagements. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; estimate time and resources needed for the development work. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. Gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following:

  • Designing and developing applications using Eclipse framework, Visual Studio, and IBM Rational Application Developer to meet functional needs for software applications;
  • Developing and launching automation solutions using GitLab Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline to automatically validate and deploy the code changes in development environment when CI pipeline is successful, ElectricFlow Continuous Deployment (CD) for deploying the latest changes from the Development environment to Higher environment for testing, and Cucumber and Protractor for automated integration testing;
  • Delivering full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices-based solutions using Agile methodology across Web, Mobile, and Cloud architectures;
  • Delivering and deploying custom developed applications for clients, including prototyping, code development, modularization, unit testing, configuration and defect management, and production deployment, utilizing Jira for defect management, GitLab for code repository, Gradle, Apache Maven, and webpack for build tools, and JUnit, Groovy, and Mockito for unit testing;
  • Performing software development using Agile methodology development environments and web service testing using SoapUI and Postman;
  • Designing and maintaining coding standards to enhance application development using Google Java Style Guide, TSLint, and Eclipse code templates;
  • Performing aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects and change requests, escalations and urgent issues utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift Container Platform, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Services; and
  • Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, utilizing Draw.io UI tool.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week.
