• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to housekeeping staff regarding details of work. 
• Must be able to provide staffing, training, performance counseling, and performance reviews for housekeeping department.
• Must have proven ability to plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by Lake Austin Spa Resort, which requires continuous visual inspection of guest rooms and public space areas.
• Ability to manage finances of housekeeping and laundry operations including budget and inventory controls. Analyze data and compile reports on expenditures, wages, labor, supplies, etc. in relation to LASR financial forecasts and budget. Establish and maintain adequate supplies for efficient operation of department.
• Must be able to ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with OSHA regulations. Must have knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals.
• Must have the ability to speak conversational Spanish.
• Must be available to work varying schedules, weekends, and holidays as necessary, according to our business needs. 
• Ability to deal effectively with employees, vendors, and contractors.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in supervisory, management or assistant executive housekeeping position.
