Job Summary:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating solutions related to the existing business processes. You will have the opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders to coordinate software projects for departments across the entire Green Plains organization.

Reporting to the Manager/Business Analysts Green Plains Inc., the Senior Business Analyst is an integral part of the Green Plains Development Team at our Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. Responsible for analysis, recommendation, and implementation of systems that benefit business units across the enterprise. Areas of focus will include accounting, operational, and tertiary systems. The candidate will assess existing processes and software and be able troubleshoot on a wide range of business systems based on training. 

Responsibilities:

• Proactively identifying, analyzing, and communicating recommendations surrounding business processes.
• Coordinate with various departments to assist with designing processes, testing, and training users on new processes/software.
• Manage and track projects ranging from data collection and reporting to software implementation.
• Translate internal customer requirements into functional requirements used by project stakeholders.
• Preparing a variety of reports to track project milestones and timing.
• Use technical skillset to design and develop automated processes where applicable
• Ability to write technical, business, and plain language documents and/or emails, with great attention to detail in all written communications.
• Perform unit testing, assist with UAT, and create training guides and presentations to educate users on maximizing their experience.
• Ability to work on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader

There are many opportunities to go into different areas within Green Plains, and there are multiple systems that require specialty training. This training is available via offsite conventions, work groups, and certification trainings. You will have the opportunity to develop skillsets in multiple disciplines.

Qualifications:

• A B.S./B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related work in business systems, engineering, science, or mathematics
• 3-4 years experience with process documentation and management
• The ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions
• Excellent documentation, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Experience with project management
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite and project management tools.
• Experience with creating detailed reports and presentations
• Experience with the manufacturing/agricultural/food processing field.
• Advanced ability to query, extract and manipulate complex data files in SQL/Excel/BI tools
• Passion to learn new things and design solutions to business problems that arise
• Self starter with the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team
