Deer Valley Resort is Hiring a Human Resources Supervisor - Year Round Near Park, UT

Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts Friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only) Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift Subsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staff Discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City Healthcare options are available for staff members 401k plan with company match PURPOSE OF POSITION: To enhance the staff experience and to be the face of Human Resources through managing the operation of the Human Resources front desk. To provide a safe environment by adhering to Deer Valley Resort Service and Safety Standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Hire, train, and manage the performance of the Human Resources front desk staff, including scheduling and staffing. Organize the workload of the team which may include projects from all areas of HR and assign tasks accordingly. Maintain good communication with managers/supervisors/staff and answer their questions promptly or direct them to the appropriate source for answers. Train the team to answer questions and direct calls appropriately. Understand and assist with any HR functions when needed, including staff events and trainings. Supervise and execute rewards and raffles for staff. Oversee all front desk operations which include but are not limited to: Develop a complete and thorough list of all materials and office supplies and maintain an inventory process so that all shortages are recorded promptly for reorder. Manage the job offer process; generate job offers, assist managers with offer process and send documentation when necessary. Supervising and administering the entire onboarding process of all staff (year-round, seasonal, on call employees) throughout the lifecycle. This includes I-9 verifications. Continuously review front desk operating systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for auditing the HRIS (Workday) content on staff to ensure accuracy. Coordinate, monitor and update all staff perks distributed by the front desk team. Supervise compliance processes of all staff document retention including setting schedule for annual maintenance of working file room. Oversee end of day cash out process when necessary. Any financial transactions that take place in HR are monitored and reviewed for discrepancies. Review, update, and verify with Humans Resources management team all printed materials including IDs, ski perks waivers, and all summer and winter perk materials prior to distribution to staff. Advise the Human Resources management team of any staff issues that arise. Always maintain an absolute discrete level of confidentiality. Accept other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Able to multi-task and calmly work through issues. Strong computer skills – Prior experience with Office 365, Workday, Freshservice or other ticketing system preferred. Prior experience with I-9 verification Extremely organized with an acute attention to detail. Committed to outstanding internal and external guest service. Proficient written, verbal, and listening skills. Must have flexible scheduling options – holidays and weekends will be included. Able to work positively with a variety of personalities. Must maintain confidentiality regarding all information of personnel. Possess basic knowledge of Human Resource practices.
