Job Overview:

Tactacam is searching for a Product Manager to be part of their product development engineering team. The Product Manager will be part of the team developing new lines of Camera and Cellular IoT devices for consumer and private outdoor applications. A top candidate will have experience managing IoT products throughout their complete life cycle. The individual will have a track record for evaluating markets, developing specification, developing business cases, creating long term product strategies. This individual will also work closely with both internal design teams as well as contract design and manufacturing teams being the voice of the customer, ensuring the product meets the specification requirements. Tactacam is a rapidly growing company with a loyal customer base and expanding product offerings.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for their product line, being the product expert.

  • Creating, assigning, tracking, and following up on action items.

  • Creating project timelines, using input from all teams.

  • Communicating to the organization product updates, specifications, product strategies.

  • Own development process, driving projects forward meeting company timelines.

  • Oversee and prioritize project tasks.

  • Work cross-functionally with IoT team and engineering teams.

  • Self-motivated and proactive in finding solutions to existing and new challenges.

  • Evaluate markets and develop product strategies.

  • Create business cases, product specifications, sales, and marketing training documentation.

Required Work Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in IoT consumer products.

  • 10 Experience evaluating markets, creating product specifications, and creating long term product strategies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Business, or Equivalent working experience preferred.

  • Experience creating product manuals.

  • Experience in managing “Stage Gate” processes for developing consumer products.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently and cross functionally.

  • Experience working with 3rd party ODM and CM (Contract Manufacturers) to develop, test and troubleshoot products.

  • Experience in project timeline planning.

  • Strong influencing skills.

  • Ability to organize and managing brainstorming sessions, creating clear records of discussions and able to summarize clear and concise directions.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Proficient in MS Project or similar software, Gantt chart and project planning tools.

  • Experience with IoT standards, Cellular LTE industry
