About the Role

Tactacam is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. This role reports directly to the VP, People & Culture and alongside the P&C team to create an environment where our employees can do the best work of their lives. This role will play a critical part in shaping and deploying our people programs, performance management process, employee relations, and problem solving to enhance the employee experience. We are seeking someone who is passionate, dynamic, and creative, with a deep curiosity to learn and gets excited about making a difference. The ideal candidate will bring forward creative and effective ideas and solutions, working on complex projects that drive meaningful change for our fast-growing organization.

What You Will Do

  • Act as an advisor to our people leaders to ensure the team's and business needs are met with a primary focus on people program management, change management, and building work streams that support our goals.

  • Develop, maintain, and demonstrate solid understanding of the business and take a consultative approach with clients, anticipating, assessing, and providing creative HR solutions to business priorities.

  • Advise and support employee training, employee development, performance improvement plans and other related matters.

  • Understand employee opinions and experiences; provide a point of view and anticipate needs so we can focus on developing solutions to better the employee experience.

  • Support the overall business strategy by helping to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes.

  • Coach and drive managers and employees on how best to use our people tools (Lattice, Paycom, etc.)

  • End-to-end management of our performance review cycle. Assist with the development of the company-wide performance review program.

  • Assist with the rollout and facilitation of leadership training and other learning opportunities as needed.

  • Build operational guides, self-service tools and resources for our leaders and employees.

  • Assist with the analysis of engagement surveys, creating a feedback loop with managers that provides actionable insights and productive follow up.

  • Partner on and support People team initiatives & projects as identified, including but not limited to people operations, recruiting, and employee experience

  • Consult with clients on moderately complex HR processes, procedures, precedents, and initiatives, engaging appropriate partners as required.

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) and engage with People Operations as needed.

  • Analyze data and present in a compelling way that influences the audience to take action on recommendations.

  • Work with leaders on organizational design, change management, resource management and culture.

  • Support the salary planning process to ensure timely and accurate planning and execution.

  • Assist with writing and deploying employee communications as required.

  • Take on other People & Culture-related assignments & projects as requested by the VP, People & Culture.

About You

  • You have 4 years of experience in an HRBP or PBP role at a tech and/or consumer goods company, ideally for a remote workforce.

  • You have excellent people management skills, with the ability to train, oversee, coach, and mentor remotely. Experience working in a leadership role is a plus.

  • You build trust easily with your clients and employees alike, creating a psychologically safe environment through excellent communication, collaboration, working with integrity and deploying empathy.

  • You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, diligent, responsive, responsible, accountable, and resilient.

  • You have prior experience managing performance review cycles for an organization.

  • You're skilled at maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

  • You have strong experience navigating employee relations investigations with empathy and a calm demeanor, with the ability to set and define strategy to address sensitive matters.

  • You have experience, exposure, and comfort with a variety of HR functions, with an emphasis on employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition.

  • You have strong business acumen and are able to quickly assimilate new information.

  • You are able to function independently with minimal direction and thrive within a fast-paced, constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • You have proven experience working as a trusted advisor to leaders at various levels.

  • You use your strong, independent judgment to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.

  • You have excellent analytical skills and have the ability to quickly interpret data, identify trends, and effectively recommend solutions.

  • You have the ability to balance multiple conflicting priorities with patience, efficiency and strong execution.

  • You are a strong team player and love working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • You have excellent working knowledge and application of United States federal and state employment laws.

  • You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Human resources generalist or functional HR experience in progressively responsible roles

  • Paycom and/or Lattice experience.

  • Project management experience.

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack, and other key technology platform tools

  • Experience working in both large, corporate environments and small-to-medium sized, high-growth environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or combination of equivalent work experience.
