deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL

Position Description:

The Systems Engineer will provide integrated support with all disciplines/functions for rapid prototype testing in preparation for program Milestone C decision. Candidate will support Integrated Fires Digital Engineering for the PEO Office of the Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities Include:

• Creation of Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Plans, & Defense Exportability Features (DEF) studies
• Producing Milestone C documentation, production contract statement of work (SOW), Contract Data Requirement List (CDRLs), Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Plan, Independent Government Estimate (IGE), Task Order Definition, Task Order IGEs, & Task Order SOWs
• Supporting technical maturation assessment development & other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field from an ABET accredited program

Experience Requirements:

• 12 years experience with Bachelor's degree; 10 years with Master's degree; 8 years with PhD
• Systems engineering and integration experience
• Technical program planning experience and ability to develop programmatic support documents
• Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience for: a) developing, updating, and understanding system models, b) incorporating system documentation in models c) flowing down and implementing higher echelon MBSE requirements
• Demonstrated self-starter with strong interpersonal communications skills
• Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimal direction both working as an individual contributor as well as a team member
• Good verbal and written skills

Special Skills Desired:

• Magic Draw or similar modeling experience
• Knowledge of Integrated Fires, test events, and integrated test campaigns
